Right of Wrong?:Video explains the world's most important 6-sec drum loop - YouTube

This video about the history, influence, and importance of one six second slice of a recording made in the late 60s is pretty amazing.
'The Amen Break' as it is known is something you will no doubt recognize-I just had absolutely no idea of the importance and depth of the (still unfolding) history behind it.
I know you may not have time to watch a 20 minute video at work, but at least check out the first few minutes. I consider myself pretty knowledgeable about music-but this story is insane and full of things I thought I knew about...it goes hand in hand with this post I wrote a while back about my issues as a broadcaster with the music business.
It kind of makes you wonder how many times throughout history something this small and seemingly insignificant has been this influential on the same level. Art, culture, history, business, and the law all rolled up into a 6 second drum sample.
Cheers! C
