From: The Daily Swarm - The Daily Swarm Interview: Gil Reyes, Director of 'Searching for Elliott Smith,' Talks About His Eight-Year Project...

Excellent interview with the director of the upcoming Elliott Smith documentary 7 years in the making. I, like the film maker was never a huge Smith fan..not that I didn't think he was great, just not one of the guys always on my radar. The story of how he got involved is very interesting as are his takes on Smith's death the surrounding investigation, and how he got denied the rights to use Smith's music.
A fascinating read for anyone even if you aren't an Elliot Smith fan.
