HAPPY NEW YEAR 2013! A Milestone Reached and Year End Favorites Pt. V: Sarah Borrello:

First things first: Happy 2013! Thank you for a most excellent 2012 and sticking with us through our growth, changes, and growing pains.
Appropriately, we reached a huge milestone shortly after midnight PST today with our 15,000th pageview!
Thank you. We are deeply grateful for the support. We are looking forward to an even bigger and better year in 2013.
Next up, Pt. V of our year-end faves for 2012 highlights yet another youngster who shows enormous maturity, talent, and a promising future.
For those of you who are regular readers or follow us on the Twitters it will not be a surprise that I am speaking of Ms. Sarah Borrello.
You can learn more about Sarah Borrello here.
Like her U.K. counterparts I have written about in previous posts (here, here, and here), she started young and has grown artistically well beyond her chronological age.
(Full disclosure-I personally contributed to Sarah Borrello's Kickstarter page and I am eagerly awaiting the completed CD (and a little schwag))
When I first stumbled upon Ms. Borrello via a Facebook post of a very humble (and impressive) audition video for The Voice I was impressed enough to do some further research which resulted in this post earlier in 2012.
Some may doubt my assessment of Sarah Borrello's talent and future, but I have been doing this long enough, and have been right often enough, that I stand behind my statements.
One of the reasons I started our internets radio station and this blog is that I have been fortunate enough to hear musicians with potential long before most people do. I have often been right about potential even when their careers have not played out the way one might hope if people had a chance to hear them.
In short: I do what I do because of the Sarah Borrellos of the world and because I believe that there is a whole world of people who are disinterested in new music because they don't get to hear the good stuff. I feel that, all too often, we just hear the same old stuff and the stuff with the money behind it to buy recognition.
So, as my holiday gift to you, I give you our sweat and love in the hope that you find artists, new and old, like Ms. Borrello who you might never get to hear on your "Public Airwaves".
Enjoy! CHEERS!
C.
